Katie Yamulla*

About Katie...

Originally from Pennsylvania, Katie moved to  New York City over six years ago. While New York holds her heart, she still has strong ties to the Keystone State. Katie graduated magna cum laude from DeSales University in Allentown, Pa. During her time in Pennsylvania she worked for professional companies such as the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, The Main Street Theater, and Blatt's Dinner Theater. Since moving to The Big Apple, Katie has been involved with many wonderful companies such as Theater for the New City, Manhattan International Theater Festival, Manhattan Theater Source, 29th Street Repertory, ARTC, (re:) directions Theater Company, and  is an active member of the WorkShop Theater Company. Earlier this year Katie became co-artistic director of Me and She Productions along with Lucy McMichael (Primary Stages). Their first production was the benefit performance of "Eleemosynary" by Lee Blessing at the Players' Club.

Always seeking to be a well rounded actor, Katie is equally interested in the genres of  theater, music, and tv/film genres. She may be petite in size, but her large presence on stage easily makes that unnoticeable. Diminutive soprano she is not; Katie has a rich, mezzo soprano belter's voice with a range of  C3 to A5.   When not in a show, Katie can be seen/heard singing at St. Malachy's Actors Chapel in Times Square. (She often cantors the 5pm Saturday or 6pm Sunday masses.) In the areas of TV Film, Katie booked such gigs as a Time Warner Commercial, a promo spot for "24", and appeared in the indie film, "First Person Singular".

Besides performing, Katie's hobbies include traveling, going to baseball games
(Go Phillies!), trying great wine, producing staged readings, and spending time with friends and family.
